For the 2010 conference, paper proposals in the form of abstracts of no more than 250 words are invited. It is anticipated that the papers will discuss recent developments in competition law and economics taking the following into consideration:
- Analyse a key case, and its implications in law and/or economics; or
- Analyse a key competition issue drawing from the developing case law; or
- Assess the impact of international policy and law on developing countries.
While papers dealing with international developments in competition law are welcome, the primary focus of the conference is on appraising competition law and economics based on the South African experience.
It is anticipated that the conference will be attended by practitioners and academics primarily from the disciplines of law and economics.
